Sunday Services: Indoors at 9:00 & 10:45 am

We have resumed our two-service schedule, at 9 & 10:45 am. Masks will be required for all those attending. We are limited to 50% capacity in the sanctuary. Overflow seating will be available in the Commons. Offering plates will not be passed; instead, we will have offering boxes stationed around the sanctuary and our online giving will continue as normally. We will be practicing social distancing and keeping up with sanitizing protocols. There will be extra masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer available to anyone who may need them. For the time being, we are pausing our coffee service. Please feel free to bring your own!

Services will continue to be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube at 9:00 am. If you are not comfortable returning to indoor worship at this time, we invite you to watch and interact online. No matter how we worship, we are all one body.

Children’s ministry will continue indoors at the 9 am service only. We will have ministry for birth-5th grade. Children under 5 years of age will not be required to wear masks. At the 10:45 am service, the nursery will remain open and available for nursing mothers or families with young children, but will not be staffed with volunteers. There is a television that shows the service in the nursery.

Memory Verse of the Week
Philippians 1:3, NIrV

“I thank my God every time I remember you.”

After a successful Thousand Hearts Serve Day on September 26, we learned (as many have) that during this pandemic, we can ‘pivot’ as needed. Seventy community volunteers completed nine projects! A huge thank you to all the volunteers and community partners that made this possible!

Now it’s time to swing right into Thousand Hearts 365; created to serve community needs as they arise throughout the year. Volunteers have helped seniors with chores and plowed snow, donated blood, provided grounds help at the Ames-Florida-Stork House and connected families in need with community resources. The Reading Buddies Program at Rockford Elementary is currently on hold but, for the past three years, up to nine 365 volunteers have served students in kindergarten through second grade.

Please connect with us if you, or someone you know, need a helping hand or if you wish to volunteer as needed by emailing Annette Tryon at

Here is some info on what to expect:

We are moving to a CURBSIDE model of service. Both existing and new clients are being asked to park along the curb on Main Street in front of the food shelf – please be sure to begin the line of vehicles all the way down to the four-way stop and WAIT in your vehicle until a volunteer brings a shopping list of available foods. Additional instructions will be given at this time. If you do not have a vehicle please wait on the green bench outside our front door and we will assist you. Please note that NO clients will be served inside the food shelf at this time.

If you are sick please DO NOT come to the food shelf – send an adult to get food on your behalf or call and we will do our best to make arrangements.

We will keep our Facebook page and our phone message (763-477-6098) current with any updates in food service.

Thank you for your patience as we understand that this is a different way of doing business at the food shelf. It will allow us to follow CDC guidelines while serving clients in a safe and orderly way and provide food with love for every table!
