Announcements!

CHURCH BUILDING SAFETY ALERT:  Due to safety concerns, Kinghorn Contractors and their subcontractors have requested that no one (including Pastor Keith) be allowed in the building until construction is complete.  They are aware that we are all very excited; however, we need to give them their space to finish the project without worrying about safety issues and their equipment, etc.  If you have a strong desire to see inside the building, we would suggest going there during non-working hours and peeking through the windows.  If you have any questions, please call the office at 763-477-9126.

OFF THE RADAR.  Pastor Keith will be taking a few days to get ready for the new series and will be unavailable beginning Sunday, February 26 following service through Wednesday, February 29.

Pat the Janitor. Beginning this Sunday the 19th there will be a box available for a free will gift offering to go to Pat. He has been a faithful, patient janitor for many years. Once we are in the new building, Pat will be taking a cut in pay; however, he will have his Sunday’s off, so we have extended an invitation to him to attend church at our building. On our last Sunday in the auditorium, we will present Pat with a card and whatever gifts we have received. If you have questions, please see Nate Korns or call him at 763-744-8645.

GRAND OPENING WEEKEND, Saturday, April 14th and Sunday, April 15th.  We invite you to join in the Grand Opening of the new building on Highway 55 and Vernon Street, Greenfield.  Saturday will be the Open House and Sunday is the dedication.  We look forward to seeing you there!

ROCKFORD GREENFIELD COMMUNITY EXPO -- MARCH 17 -- Riverwood has once again rented a booth to share God’s good news at the Rockford Greenfield Community Expo.  To make this happen, however, we will need a point person for this event.  If this is something that God is leading you to do, please contact the church office.  This has been a very fun event in the past.

BUILDING UPDATE:  Praise God - the construction of our new home is almost complete!  Please remember to give thanks to God for our new home and pray for the safety of the workers. If you haven't had an opportunity to commit financially to this project, there is time!  Contact the office to request a 3 year commitment card or pick one up on Sunday morning in the fellowship area. You may also give a one-time gift online.

  • Your Personal Investments can have Kingdom Impact!  Our denomination, through National Covenant Properties, has agreed to lend us $2,000,000 for our new home.  This fund is exclusively available for Covenant Churches and the funds are only available because of the investments by Covenant People across the country over the past 41 years.  All that is asked of us is that we, being part of the the Covenant, invest collectively up to $300,000 or 15% of our loan amount.   Please call 1800 366-6273 for more information.

Here is how it works.  You receive very competitive interest rates on investments you would normally make. For example, for-profit banks will use your investment dollars to make loans and their shareholders are rewarded. The NCP uses your investment dollars to loan money to churches and God gets the glory!  You will want to compare your current return to NCP interest rates and perhaps move these dollars to an NCP account (rollover) or invest new dollars.

National Covenant Properties (NCP) has been serving member churches of the Evangelical Covenant Church since 1970 to provide loans for new church construction and church additions. Currently NCP has over $249 million in loans to more than 260 Covenant projects. Funds for these loans are obtained from NCP’s sale of investment certificates.  National Covenant Properties (NCP) provides investments to members and friends of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Currently, NCP has over $107 million in Individual Retirement Accounts/Health Savings Accounts and over $186 million in outstanding Certificates.   NCP investment accounts are easy to set up and they do not charge any fees

Riverwood's longer term goal $1,000,000 over the next 2 years as it impacts our future ability to obtain loans and our loan interest rates.
